Our Story
Sanaa’s story is the heartbeat of this initiative. My beautiful child left this world at the tender age of 10 years old by suicide, and my life was shattered in a way I could never have imagined. In the deepest part of my grief, I had to choose whether to disappear inside the pain or to keep going in her honor.
I chose to keep living.
Every step I take now is a way of carrying Sanaa’s light forward by speaking honestly about loss, by breaking the silence around child suicide, and by creating spaces where other families feel seen, held, and never alone. This work is how I am slowly reclaiming my power as a mother, not because the grief is gone, but because love is stronger than the darkness that tried to silence her story.
